From Saturday 13th August to Friday 19th August, the ATUK Big Event 2022 is a week-long fest of green laning. Campsite accommodation has been organised, trips are organised from its base in the Suffolk countryside and the event offers a week long itinerary of daily laning trips in and around the surrounding counties. The trips will include:-
β’ The Secret Suffolk route
β’ Thetford to Hunstanton βChip Runβ.
β’ The wonders of the Fens
β’ Local Thetford Safari
β’ The delights of North Essex
The camp site offers excellent facilities and the opportunity for ATUK members to meet socially and get to know one another, regardless of where in the UK they are from. There will be two socials, one at the start of the week, and one at the end. There will be experienced green laners on hand to give advice regarding route planning, how to use SmartTrail, vehicle choice, what equipment to carry and other green laning related topics. During thr week there will also be an opportunity for people to improve their navigation skills by joning in with our treasure hunt.
Members have the option to βdip inβ and βdip outβ during the week if they wish to take in some of the local non laning sight-seeing venues as well.
